December 31, 2007 – Going Green
Going Green. Green Living. Eco-friendly Living. It seems like everywhere you turn people are talking about Going Green. A few weeks ago I visited Denver, Colorado for an industry-wide conference on the subject. We discussed national trends and what we, as pest control professionals, can do to better defend the environment. I learned that "Green washing" is a term used to describe companies who claim to be Green without actually practicing being Green.
I feel strongly that Action Pest Control has always been Green by utilizing non-chemical control methods, practicing Preventive Pest Management, and participating in pesticide safety programs. However, I think you will see Action becoming Greener as we operate in an increasingly environmentally responsible manner and develop a wider array of Green service offerings.
